STOCKTON SPRINGS, Maine – A woman from Old Orchard Beach was killed Monday evening in a head-on crash on Route 1 in Stockton Springs, according to Maine State Police.

Troopers from the Central Field Troop responded to the scene at about 6:08 p.m. on April 13, 2026, after receiving a report of a two-vehicle crash.

A preliminary investigation found that a truck driven by 42-year-old Adam Sorrentino of Belfast was traveling westbound when it collided with an eastbound Subaru Forester driven by 77-year-old Anne Pomroy of Old Orchard Beach.

Pomroy suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Sorrentino was taken to a local hospital, where he was treated for injuries described as non-life-threatening.

Police said the cause of the crash remains under investigation.

Anyone who witnessed the crash or has information is encouraged to contact Trooper Ryan Nadeau at 207-624-7076 ext. 9.
