The child-porn convicted former Maine candidate for governor said in court Friday he’s been hooked on porn since he was 12 years old.

That’s the second time now amid his criminal misfortunes that Eliot Cutler embraced a timeline that had him addicted to child pornography well he was a Maine gubernatorial candidate in 2010 and in 2014.

Cutler ended up losing both elections, almost becoming governor the first time.

Wearing a gray prison jumpsuit, he was in court Friday seeking to be released from jail on probation on his fifth such alleged violation of freedom in the wake of his 2023 child-porn conviction.

Once again despite his multiple alleged probation violations a judge decided to cut him loose pending his next court date June 1.

Cutler previously served nine months in jail after pleading guilty to possessing sexually-explicit materials of children.

After one of his recent probation flees, he tearfully told cops he’s been addicted to child porn since he was a boy, according to their report.

He reiterated that claim in court Friday, using it as a defense for his criminal problems now as a 79-year-old man.

Cutler was twice an Independent candidate in Maine’s 2010 and 2014 gubernatorial races.

In 2010, he placed second in a multi-way race, receiving 208,270 votes, equaling 35.9 percent, narrowly losing to Republican Paul LePage.

In 2014 he garnered only 8.4 percent, placing third behind both Democrat candidate Mike Michaud as well as LePage, who was re-elected with 48.2 percent of the vote.

Cutler had previously served in the Carter Administration as part of the U.S. Office of Management and Budget.
