At approximately 11:28 a.m., Somerset deputies executed a search warrant of a vehicle on Madison Avenue being operated by Griffin Patchell, 27, of Madison.

The warrant was obtained as part of an ongoing investigation into alleged trafficking operations in the Madison area.

During the search, detectives allegedly discovered 10 grams of fentanyl, a set of digital scales, a trace amount of cocaine, and documentation related to drug trafficking.

The drugs allegedly seized had an estimated street value of $1,000.

Patchell, 27, of Madison, was charged with aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs and was transported to the Cumberland County Jail.

He will first appear in court on September 9.

Additional charges may be forthcoming after the Somerset District Attorney’s Office reviewed the case.
