Following an investigation into the alleged burglaries, police arrested Travis Lewis, 49, of Sweden.

Deputies executed a search warrant at Lewis’ Knights Hill Road residence in Sweden and allegedly recovered multiple items identified as stolen property, along with drug paraphernalia, five grams of methamphetamine, and clothing and other garments allegedly worn by the suspect in the burglaries.

Police also allegedly seized 12 firearms from Lewis’ residence, at least some of which were identified as having been stolen.

Lewis was arrested and transported to the Oxford County Jail without incident.

He faces charges of burglary, receiving stolen property (firearm), unlawful possession of methamphetamine, and thefy.

He is currently being held pending court proceedings.

The Sheriff’s Department is urging Mainers to check their homes and camps to ensure that nothing has been stolen.

The incident comes amid a number of burglaries reported in the area.
