Maine’s Sen. Susan Collins (R) cast her 10,000th consecutive roll call vote Thursday, marking a major milestone in her unbroken streak which began in 1997.

“Mainers are known for their work ethic, and they deserve a Senator who works just as hard for them,” Collins said in a statement celebrating the achievement.

“Growing up in Aroostook County, I learned the value of hard work, perseverance, and honoring your commitments,” said Collins. “I am proud to bring those Maine values with me to the Senate every day.”

“Representing the State of Maine is the honor of a lifetime, and I will continue serve with the diligence and responsibility that Mainers deserve,” Collins added.

Sen. Angus King (I) applauded Collins’ accomplishment in remarks offered on the Senate floor.

“I want to rise to also congratulate my colleague on a truly remarkable achievement that reflects her character and dedication to the people of this country,” said Sen. King.

“Our state is not one where the weather is always favorable, and it’s always easy to get here,” King said.

“And to have maneuvered through bad storms, snow storms, nor’easters, to be here for every single vote, since the first day she set foot in this chamber, is a truly remarkable achievement,” added King.

Senate leadership on both sides of the aisle also praised Collins’ accomplishment.

“For nearly 30 years, Susan Collins has shown up for Mainers, has ensured that they are represented in every single vote the Senate takes, no matter what,” said Majority Leader John Thune on the floor of the Senate.

“Susan takes pride in the milestones that she’s achieved, not because of any desire to have her name in the history books, but because to her, these votes are a tangible marker of the goal that she’s set for herself since she came to the United States Senate,” he said. “And that is ensuring that Mainers always have a voice.”

“No matter what has been going on in the world, or in her life, Senator Collins has never, never, missed a vote in her entire Senate career,” said Minority Leader Chuck Schumer.

“This is truly a remarkable milestone,” he continued. “Many of us try hard to make every vote. Senator Collins has actually done it. 10,000 times in a row.”

“Senator Collins and I belong to different parties and do not always see eye to eye, but 10,000 consecutive roll call votes is an extraordinary streak by any measure, and I congratulate her on reaching it,” Minority Leader Schumer said.

Today, I cast my 10,000th consecutive roll call vote, extending the unbroken voting streak that I have maintained throughout my entire Senate service.

She may be the text book example of what a RINO is , bur she’s a damn sight better than that Psycho Lowlife Graham Platner .
I don’t care what Karen And Ted from down on the bridge have to say .
And F*@k Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren . .
Collins is our ONLY sane choice for Senator .

Her first vote was to side with Democrats and her 10,000 vote was to side with the Democrats. She doesn’t represent Conservatives or Republicans. Good luck trying to win after abandoning your base.

So what, isn’t that her job? As for the rest, no one should be missing votes period. You were sent to DC, Augusta to work, voting is part of your job.

Let’s trade insider-trader Collins for Golden. He’s more conservative than she is.

That would have been quite a trick to pull off in Maine , when the democrats call their votes at 2 AM in the middle of a blizzard , just so they can ram their destruction through .
Good for Collins .
She can get a “ participation trophy “ from the Maine State Principals Association when they’re awarding all those plaques to the boys that they want playing in girl’s sports

Voting is her job. Let’s see if there is anyone else who is not such a RINO and cares more about girls sports.

I have read that the vote on presenting an ID to vote was 48 to 50. If Collins had voted for it, the vote would have been 49 to 49 allowing the Vice President, a Republican, to cast the deciding vote which would have pushed the addition to the Reconciliation to go into effect. If that reasoning is correct, Collins personally screwed all of us. I have been paying taxes and voting in Maine since 1972.

How many roll call votes does Pingree and the great agnus have between them in the years they have been in Washington?

Number of votes cast to date?
I bet you can count them on one hand for both of them!

Gardiner …..
You are correct . Collins has screwed us again .
She and her pal Lisa Murcowski from Alaska are TWO of the LEAST reliable Republican votes in Washington .
RINOs without any doubt .
But a seat in the senate labeled R is a seat labeled R , and Platner is unarguably a low life predator , so we should just hold our noses and vote for her one more time .

There is an idiot in the thread supporting Susan Commie Collin’s.

Embarrassing!

LouiseWoods.

The best thing you could do is get Collin’s out! She is preventing an actual conservative from running.

LouseWoods and its kind are the reason we have Collin’s still. Idiot.

King said “it’s always easy to get here”? What? I think you have a copy editing error in there someplace.
