Jason Johnson-Rivera, aka “Ouda”, 20, of New Bedford, Mass., was sentenced following a January guilty plea for a federal charge of discharging a firearm during and in relation to a drug trafficking crime.
He will spend the next ten years in prison, to be followed by four years of supervised release.
On February 9, 2024, Johnson-Rivera and his co-defendant Yancarlos Abrante, aka “Glizzy”, 22, fired at least five 9mm handgun rounds into another vehicle during a dispute over drug territory.
Shortly after shooting at their rivals, they drove against traffic and ran a red light before smashing into a passenger vehicle and a school bus.
They then fled on foot before being apprehended, and further investigation revealed that they had been trafficking cocaine in the Saco and Biddeford areas since at least January 2024.
Abrante pleaded guilty in September 2025, but he will not be sentenced until later this year.
