At approximately 5:30 a.m., Penobscot deputies responded to reports of a robbery on Chesnut Lane in Eddington.

Police arrived to discover an adult male suffering from a stab wound to his neck. He claimed that he had also been threatened with a firearm.

The victim told deputies that the suspects fled in a vehicle before deputies arrived.

Law enforcement believes the suspects left the immediate area.

The stabbing victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

The Maine State Police is joining the Penobscot Sheriff’s Department Criminal Investigation Division in the search for the suspects.

Anyone with information on the robbery is urged to reach out to the sheriff’s department.
