On Monday, Clinton police responded to the area of Main Street following reports of a stabbing.

They discovered a wounded victim, who was transported by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment, but did not locate a suspect.

On Tuesday, Clinton police announced the arrest of Daniel Gordon, 37.

He and the victim were allegedly engaged in a physical altercation for an unspecified reason.

During the altercation, Gordon allegedly stabbed the victim multiple times in the chest with a knife.

He then reportedly fled on a dirt bike that had been reported stolen from Somerset County.

The Augusta Police Department located Gordon in Augusta, and he was taken into custody.

He was transported to the Kennebec County Jail, where he is being held without bail and facing a charge of elevated aggravated assault.

Im a gonna just take a wild guess here,,but might this have been over drugs. Alot of our crimes here in Maine now stem from drug involvement. Not paying dealers, or stealing drugs, etc. Nice mess democrats have created here and socialist conmie Platner our next Senator?
