The Skowhegan Police Department arrested three suspects on Saturday after stopping a vehicle missing a license plate and allegedly discovering illegal drugs.

“The drugs taken off the street continue to show we are in a war with the trafficking and using of these dangerous drugs. Not just in our Town but everywhere in the great State of Maine. The Skowhegan Police Department will continue to locate these drugs, arrest the people poisoning our citizens and ensuring you can sleep safe at night,” said the police department.

At approximately 9:00 p.m., a Skowhegan officer initiated a traffic stop on a 2004 Toyota Camry for a missing license plate and loud exhaust.

During the officer’s interaction with the vehicle’s four occupants, he allegedly found that none of them held valid driver’s licenses.

Another officer responded to assist with K9 Reece.

The dog conducted a sniff test and allegedly indicated that one of the occupants, Sadie Macdonald, 30, of Fairfield, was in possession of illegal drugs.

Macdonald was arrested and charged with aggravated trafficking of scheduled drugs and unlawful possession of scheduled drugs.

Police also arrested Louis Lopez, 51, on charges of aggravated trafficking of scheduled drugs, unlawful possession of scheduled drugs, and unsworn falsification.

The driver, Michael Griffin, 38, of Farmingdale, was charged with operating after license suspension, failure to provide proof of insurance, and operating a motor vehicle without a valid inspection sticker.

A search of the vehicle allegedly revealed 91.83 grams of fentanyl, 27.37 grams of cocaine, and 54.06 grams of a substance used to cut the drugs.

It is amazing how stupid these people can be. Driving around in a car without plates and drugs in the car and in their pockets. They must be platner voters.
