Teddy Daniels: Privilege, Not PTSD, Explains Graham Platner’s Conduct

Maine Democrat Senate nominee Graham Platner has come under heavy fire for his many immoral and vile statements. These include lying about a Nazi tattoo, justifying rape, denigrating American hero Chris Kyle, and making remarks about me. I’m the soldier in the viral combat video whom Platner stated “didn’t deserve to live.”

Platner and his supporters always fall back on the excuse that Platner suffers from PTSD. Many Americans suffer from PTSD, myself included. The issue isn’t PTSD; we should be blaming his elitist background.

Due to Platner’s privileged upbringing, I seriously doubt he had to truly face any consequences for his abhorrent behavior. We all know a Graham Platner in our lives. He is the “Do you know who my daddy is?” “I can do whatever I want” type of guy.

Platner’s family sent him to elite schools and, as an adult, financed vacations and trips to Europe. His father gave him $200,000 for his house, and his mother is his oyster farming client. They have extended a large safety net, essentially not letting him fail in life or learn the lessons associated with struggle. He has lacked many of the character-building experiences associated with enduring the hardships of life and the struggles that working-class Americans endure on a daily basis.

Graham Platner’s behavior is not based upon his diagnosis of PTSD but rather on being coddled in socialite society, where accountability is non-existent. Platner has never experienced the rigors of raising children, providing for a family, stressing about bills, or doing what it takes to be a true man. He has continued to act like an entitled child and shirk any responsibility because he has always had his socialite and elitist family to fall back on.

He has tried to cosplay as part of blue-collar America despite his privileged upbringing. The worlds have clashed, and now America wants accountability, not excuses and not a scapegoat. The finger-pointing toward PTSD is unacceptable. It is a victimhood response and, again, is being used as a blanket excuse for poor character.

Due to the numerous controversies involving Platner, many appear to have occurred online, from his Reddit posts to years spent trolling on an app that has become notorious for attracting adult sexual predators seeking contact with minors.

Yet he calls himself a working man. Working men normally don’t have the time, desire, or low character to engage in those behaviors.

I am a combat-wounded veteran, Purple Heart recipient, and come from a blue-collar working-class family. I’ve failed and struggled numerous times in life. Not once did I ever use PTSD as a scapegoat. It’s an insult to everyone who has PTSD: veterans, first responders, sexual assault survivors, and many others.

Like the majority of Americans, I have faced life—a hard life and a life that builds and tests character. Struggle builds character, and Graham Platner and his “Do you know who my daddy is?” upbringing have shielded him from that struggle.

Ask yourself a simple question. Would you want Graham Platner alone with your children? Would you want him alone with your wife? Would you want a man like Graham Platner dating your daughter?

Let’s just call it what it is. As a combat veteran who has openly struggled with PTSD myself, this isn’t PTSD. This is about a total lack of character. Call it that. Not PTSD, but rather a lack of character and accountability.

Teddy Daniels

Teddy Daniels is a decorated U.S. Army combat veteran.

Platner is coming up with dozens of excuses for his lifestyle and habits which isnt a plus for him OR his supporters. I also have ptsd from yrs of sexual abuse starting at the age of 5 to 13 decades ago, yet I have none of the tendencies Platner has like sexting, Im not a commie socialist and dont have nazi tattoos. Not to many years ago, I found out the man who sexually abused me as a child was a democrat Rep here in Maine. Something about democrats and child sex abuse seems to have been ongoing in this state for decades. The lights need to be turned on in the dark corners so everyone can see just how sick many politicians truly are.

The people who make excuses for Platners behavior are the people who accuse President Trump of child rape and being a pedophile. The Democrats have many sex perverts in the party, and yes the Republicans have some too but the Democrats have a habit of making excuses for them. Platner is a man filled with hate and he has lived a privilege life. The best private schools, being financed by Mom and Dad and a billionaire island owner. He seems to be angry because he didn’t get the notoriety in the Military that he wanted. A person with this many character flaws and mental issues should not be running for office or in the Senate. He needs to work on his life and his marriage. Those a the two most important things.

He said he went into the military to have an adventure and kill, liked it so much he did another tour and then Blackwater.

Platner does not have PTSD no matter what-this exactly the dem mentality, explain their bad behaviors away by mental illness and yet ostracize those of us who legitimately have them. He’s undoubtedly the reason why many people have PTSD! This sexist, misogynist loser is really the best candidate they can throw at us? Really?
This country is a republic, not a democracy and idiots like him should be exiled in a desert island with no Internet connection.

“Platner’s family sent him to elite schools” For instance, one of the finest Prep schools in the Country, Hotchkiss, where tuition is an un Maine like $79,000. per year. When he mustered out, the military shrinks decided he was so mentally disabled that he would never be able to hold a job and awarded him a 100% disabled pension of $57,600. for each and every year of the rest of his disabled life. I am a U S Navy ‘Nam era vet and have lived and voted in Maine since 1972. I will not be voting for Platner and his problems to be my Maine Senator for the next six years.

The most disturbing thing about the democraps is their fascination with child abuse and their moral vacuity when it comes to giving girls their god given right to privacy. Dems can no longer even admit there are only two sexes. What seemed to be mental illness has morphed into a sickness of the soul. In this sense Platner is the perfect personification of Dems sickness of the soul, his attacks on fellow soldiers, black folks, women, the possibility he was texting with underage children, his quip about raping anyone who tries to break into his house, all delusional scary creepy chit. But it’s his Nazi fascination thats become the very essence of the diehard democraps… Nazis after all are infamous for their cruel experimentation on babies and children, their love of rape and murder. Anthony Fauci is also known for experimenting on orphans during his drug trials. So here you have it, Platner identifying with Nazis, the democraps with their bizarre and bewildering ideas about sex and sexual identity and their inability to grasp the most basic human trait, protecting our children. And Shah, ahead of the pack representing the dems for Governor, a Fauci in the making. A man who caused so much damage and heartache who was wrong and wrongheaded about all the Covid protocols, esp the damning jabs, Personally my entire extended family was murdered by Nazis, but apparently this doesn’t register with all the Mainers who love this guy, even good friends of mine. The puzzling thing to me is (just like with the Covid jabs) is how many smart well educated seemingly normal people have fallen under this damning demo spell.

He’s a complete phony and his zombie-like supporters would certainly make Lenin proud as “Usefull Idiots!” His latest ad has is zombie-like followers softly singing “who’s side are you on man, who’s side are you on?” Looks like Grateful Dead followed on Valium.

Teddy Daniels is NOT a decorated veteran. He is a fraud and a phoney. PLEASE LOOK at the Facebook page The Real Teddy Daniels. I’m not saying Planter is any good but Teddy Daniels is the biggest CONMAN.

Melissa, unless you’re gonna be able to argue that the video of bullets impacting his body isn’t true, I’m willing to give the man the credit I think he is due as a decorated veteran.

Graham joined the Marines because he wanted to kill. If he didn’t have rich parents, my guess is the Marines wouldn’t have taken him.

The last thing you need in combat is a crazy loose cannon seeking gore, one has to wonder how many American lives Graham cost.

And not withstanding the debate over PTSD, if Graham is too disabled to work at McDonald’s, how the heck is he going to be able to function as a US senator?!?

And I don’t think he should be allowed to have firearms, either.
