The Madawaska Police Department arrested two men on a slew of charges on Tuesday after they allegedly left a victim severely beaten at a Madawaska home.

At approximately 11:00 p.m., a man arrived at the Madawaska Police Department seeking emergency assistance after he was allegedly severely assaulted at 443 Main Street.
The victim was allegedly able to identify both of his assailants to the investigating officers.
Police immediately began an investigation, which quickly led to the arrest of Joshua Hafford, 30, of Madawaska.
After his arrest, police secured and executed a search warrant for his residence.
With the assistance of K9 Luka, officers allegedly seized 1,786 individual pieces of evidence, including 12 electronic devices, 839 hypodermic needles, three illegally possessed prescription medications, 26 methamphetamine pills, and 66 grams of methamphetamine.
Police also reportedly recovered other drug-related evidence during the search.
Further investigation led police to identify a second suspect as Tyler Waterman, 44, of Grand Isle.
He was arrested and transported to the Aroostook County Jail.
Hafford faces charges of aggravated assault, unlawful trafficking in scheduled drugs, falsifying physical evidence, violation of conditions of release, and unlawful possession of scheduled drugs. He is being held at the Aroostook County Jail on a $50,000 bail.
Waterman faces charges of aggravated assault, burglary, assault, and falsifying physical evidence. He has since been released on a $15,000 bail.
The investigation remains ongoing, and additional charges may be forthcoming.
