EAGLE LAKE, Maine — A structure fire that broke out Wednesday evening at a home on Albert Street has been ruled accidental, according to the Maine State Fire Marshal’s Office.
The Eagle Lake Fire Department responded to 67 Albert Street at approximately 6:50 p.m. on July 22 following a report of a structure fire.
After the flames were extinguished, the department requested assistance from the State Fire Marshal’s Office to determine where and how the fire began.

Investigators worked alongside Eagle Lake firefighters and determined that the blaze originated in the kitchen, specifically in the area around the stove.
Officials have ruled the fire accidental.
No injuries were reported.
