An Eddington man was found guilty in federal court on Tuesday after he threatened to murder former Vice President Kamala Harris, Jews, Maine police officers, and Elon Musk.

Thadius Wind, 52, was convicted following a two-day jury trial in the U.S. District Court in Bangor on three counts of transmitting interstate threats and one count of threatening Vice President Harris, and was found not guilty on one additional count of transmitting interstate threats.
Wind made his threats in the form of posts on X.
The FBI identified him as the author of the posts and executed a search warrant at his Eddington home in March 2025.
During the warrant execution, federal law enforcement discovered numerous swords.
Wind faces up to five years in prison followed by three years of supervised release and a fine of up to $250,000 for each charge.
Wind has a lengthy criminal history, and previously caused three police standoffs within two years, and has a history of arrests on charges of threatening, domestic violence, and assaulting police officers, among other alleged crimes.
One of those standoffs was allegedly sparked by religious delusions, including a belief that his deceased son was God and that he was in possession of the Ark of the Covenant.
