A former WEEI host who was let go by the station a couple months ago has joined 98.5 The Sports Hub, according to the Boston Herald.
Andy Hart, axed from WEEI three months ago, allegedly for daring to talk about the affair between Pats coach Mike Vrabel and NFL reporter Dianna Russini, made his hosting debut Friday on 98.5.
Hart was with Patriots.com before joining WEEI seven years ago, the Herald’s Rick Sobey pointed out Friday.
He and Nick Stevens were let go from WEEI in April while former Patriots linebacker Ted Johnson remained at the station.
Then a few days after Hart and Stevens got the boot, WEEI announced that former 98.5 host Rich Shertenlieb would co-host the afternoon show with Johnson and Ken Laird.
Hart had polled listeners on what Vrabel should do after steamy photos of him hugging Russini were leaked to the New York Post earlier this year.
Additionally, he highlighted that the mainstream media refused to touch the incident, according to Orlando Silva of TotalProSports.com.
Stevens reacted to updates, including how the Patriots handled the situation. He focused on how the situation could affect the team.
