The Androscoggin Sheriff’s Department arrested a Greene man after he allegedly robbed the town’s Circle K on Monday and stole cigars and a lighter while claiming to be armed.

At approximately 11:00 p.m., Androscoggin deputies responded to the Route 202 Circle K for a reported robbery.
Deputies learned during a preliminary investigation that the male suspect had allegedly entered the store, told the clerk he was robbing the store, and claimed to have a firearm.
He did not actually display a weapon, and no firearm was discovered during the course of the investigation.
The robber allegedly took cigars and a torch lighter before leaving the store.
He was identified as Jason Dubois, 44, of Greene.
Deputies found him and a white Ford F-150 believed to have been used in the crime at his Greene home.
He was arrested and charged with robbery, theft by unauthorized taking, criminal trespass, refusing to submit to arrest or detention, and criminal mischief.
Dubois was transported to the Androscoggin County Jail, where he was held on $10,000 bail.
