Two Massachusetts teenagers on a joy-ride through New Hampshire allegedly sparked a high-speed pursuit on Friday, culminating in damage to a police cruiser and felony charges.

At approximately 9:38 p.m., an NH State Trooper attempted to initiate a traffic stop of a gray 2021 Hyundai Elantra after he allegedly observed it traveling over 100 miles per hour northbound on I-95 in Greenland.

The driver allegedly refused to stop, prompting a pursuit.

The driver eventually exited the highway into Portsmouth, and police discontinued the pursuit due to public safety concerns.

Shortly thereafter, troopers again located the suspect vehicle and attempted another stop, but the driver allegedly refused to comply once again, and the pursuit resumed.

Troopers attempted to block the vehicle, resulting in minor damage to cruisers, but they were unsuccessful in stopping the vehicle.

Eventually, troopers deployed spike strips to deflate the suspect vehicle’s tires and brought the pursuit to an end.

The driver was identified as Justun Jedrey, 18, of Belmont, Massachusetts, and the passenger was identified as Nikol Muka, 18, also of Belmont.

Jedrey was arrested and charged with felony reckless conduct with a deadly weapon and criminal mischief, along with misdemeanor charges of disobeying an officer and conduct after an accident, and violations of transportation of alcoholic beverages by a minor, unlawful possession and intoxication, and reckless operation.

Muka was charged with violation-level unlawful possession and intoxication.

Jedrey was held on preventative detention, while Muka was released on bail.

No one was injured during the pursuit.
