The Portland Police Department arrested a woman on Friday after she allegedly attacked a man with a lead pipe.

Police responded at approximately 8:00 a.m. to reports of an assault on Cotton Street.
Officers arrived and allegedly discovered a 61-year-old male victim suffering injuries, who reportedly informed them that he had been attacked with a lead pipe.
He was suffering non-life-threatening injuries, including a laceration to his head, and was transported by ambulance to the Maine Medical Center.
Hours after the alleged assault, police arrested Kassandra-Ann Warren, 26, of Portland, in connection with the crime.
She was transported to the Cumberland County Jail, where she faces charges of aggravated assault and reckless conduct.
Police did not reveal any suspected motive behind the attack, and it is not clear whether the victim and suspect were known to each other prior to the incident.
