The two leading U.S. betting markets show the Democrat U.S. Senate candidate in Maine shellacking the veteran Republican incumbent.
Polymarket is giving Democrat Troy Jackson 69-33 odds over Susan Collins, while Kalshi has it at 64-36.
Effectively, bettors are predicting roughly a 2:1 chance of a Jackson victory.
The markets measure odds as opposed to the actual margin of victory or loss.
The market predictions come amid a left-wing PAC survey showing Jackson with a low-single-digit lead.
The betting markets are reflecting what they portrayed as similar odds for Graham Platner before he withdrew as the Democrat nominee following serious allegations of misogynistic behavior towards women.
Jackson became the default candidate after the Maine Democrat Party caucus selected the former state senate president to compete against the five-term Collins.
Hart Research’s recent poll done for Senate Majority PAC gave Jackson a far-more conservative 4-point victory over Collins, as reported Thursday by The Maine Wire.

Maybe these betting handicappers know just how stupid Maine voters really are .
Ranked Choice Voting anyone .?
Janet Mills TWICE ?
Legalized ( not decriminalized ) Marijuana ?
I guess we’re gonna find out soon enough .
Maine voters are not stupid, but some of our politicians are. All I see are ads touting Collins pork fest, money for this money for that. She voted to impeach Trump, voted for Holder, Garland, both weaponized the Dept of Jut-us, but won’t for Todd Blanche? Maybe Murkowski will come and campaign for her
I noticed in her ad the lobster boat is from NH, maybe she forgot where she is campaigning.
I absolutely hate the Dim’s, and would never vote for Jackson, but Collins has stabbed her supporters in the back for far too long. Can’t support President Trump’s nominee for Attorney General because “it is too political”, but had no problem endorsing Eric Holder and Loretta Lynch under Obama, or Merrick Garland under Biden. Really? Held my nose and voted for her in 2020. Will not do so again.
Why should any Maine Republican be shocked by this, we have been warning the MEGOP about this for years. Being the lesser of two evils does not seem to be working, go figure.
These two, it’s like if we had to choose between Biden or Harris. Good grief.
Maybe if she was more of a Trump supporter rather than a Trump defier, she would have the MAGA base rushing in to support her. Right now, I could care less.
I like the commercial where jackson complains about how everything cost too much. Well dumbass, maybe if he hadn’t raised taxes and fees 33 times during the last 8 years people wouldn’t be broke. How dumb would you have to be to vote for this guy.
At least Suzie Collins didn’t date her 2nd cousin but heck we are talking about Maine so one never knows
Gideon led by 7-8 at this point in the race in 2020. Gideon lost by 8+.
Question for Trump fans – How often, if elected, do you think Troy Jackson will vote for anything Trump wants? Please grow up and support the nation, not your pique.
Maine GOP should not be shocked by this!! Yes many Mainers are stupid, but many Mainers are sick and tired of Collins not taking stands they we as conservatives want her to take. Two perfect examples, the AG vote and agreeing to recess the Senate without passing the SAVE America Act. She has lost my vote.
I’d like to have a candidate who is not a Rino nor a Socialist! There’s no good choice for a pro-freedom, small government person like me to vote for. I’m sick of the huge debt that just keeps growing and has generational significance for those yet unborn. It’s no longer a choice between guns or butter in the moment. That’s an old, overused comparison of each party’s former spending priorities. We’re getting both guns and butter good and hard with no way to pay for it all except to float more bonds for spending locally, to monkey with the money supply (inflation) and try to sell treasuries nationally. Both parties are into the neo-con idea of empire and never-ending wars, and now we’re all Israelites whether or not we actually knew it before starting this stupid war with Iran. Our founding generation gave us a good thing! We’ve managed to jury-rig an unwieldy behemoth that is now completely anti-citizen. Why do any of these candidates deserve a vote that will either maintain the status quo or enlarge it?
She had to know that voting against Trump’s pick for AG is going to be an issue for Conservatives. My guess is that she takes her voters for granted, they will always vote for me because the other person is more evil. I do not think it will work this time. She might be able to get a few democrats to vote for her instead.
I don’t believe any polls but betting markets are more accurate. It is still over 2 months away. Just pointing out, Collins was behind Gideon by almost double digits before the election 6 years ago and Collins won by about double digits.
I will pay a lot more attention to Kalshi a week before the election. Collins is not giving conservatives a good reason to vote for her but I will be voting against Jackson, not for Collins.
I was told by a maybe knot so far up and with a family tree of Troy, that “there is no way a republican will win Washington County.
Unfortunately, boys and girls the haves and the halfassed picture on the cover of the rolling bones says otherwise.
Considering the bill Collins introduced last week against the transfer of Dept. of Education powers, is it any wonder she has lost support?
My ancestors (Cape Cod) shipped coal on three masted schooners built in Maine. Tariffs existed to exclude trade from England. However, they were not necessary because the supply and demand was reasonable without politicians getting involved.
Apathy is what got us into this mess. If we don’t push back against this communist, it will get much much worse.
People are idiots. This article is proof.
Another polling that will be licking their wounds
What exactly is Jackson promising? What is his plan? All he has is insults towards Collins. I wouldn’t trust that you’re wearing, cousin marrying, woman abuser, drunk with anything. He’s a loser.
