There is a legislative agenda to “make Maine green again” that could make Maine’s manufacturing sector disappear. Whether it is propelled by renewable energy special interest groups or a misguided devotion to stamping out pollution, the negative consequences of this agenda will bankrupt our state and increase pollution. The pressure to make green legislation must be unbelievable because lawmakers refuse to consider the unintended consequences of these laws, or listen to the very real concerns from those who would be impacted by them.
