Say goodbye to the presumption of innocence

Watching the Senate hearing on Ford vs Kavanaugh last week was sickening.  It shows that there are no limits to how low the Left is willing to go in order to obtain power. The whole hearing was a sham; a put-up job in a desperate attempt to delay the confirmation of Judge Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court.  After all, what is the destruction of two good people, their families, and their careers compared to the preservation of the Left’s venial, preening, dishonest pandering to acquire and maintain power?

The politics of personal destruction exercised by Sen. Dianne Feinstein was an embarrassing display of the dark side of politics.  Feinstein & Co are betting that they will retake the Senate and be able to stop President Trump from ever getting another Justice on the Supreme Court, or any other Court.

The radicals on the Senate Judiciary Committee, including ranking member Sen. Feinstein, have shown that they will throw anyone under the bus in order to maintain power.  They set the stage for this moral fiasco by lying to Dr. Ford about the Committee’s willingness to come and meet her in her home for a private meeting.  Why did the people who were tasked with protecting Dr. Ford’s confidentiality, use her so badly?

Giving Dr. Ford the benefit of the doubt, her goal was to bring forward what she believed to be the truth.  The Leftist politicians and her lawyers however, had a different agenda; they are desperate to delay, by any means, fair or foul, the confirmation of Judge Kavanaugh to the highest Court.

Only three people had Dr. Ford’s letter, which she wanted to be kept confidential; Dr. Ford’s senator, Dianne Feinstein, Dr. Ford’s congresswoman, Anna Eshoo, and Dr. Ford’s lawyers.  Someone outed Dr. Ford against her wishes; which one of the three keepers of her confidence betrayed her?  Pointing a finger away from herself, ranking member Feinstein said that Dr. Ford outed herself when she talked to the press.  So much for protecting Dr. Ford’s confidentiality.

What the radicals are really afraid of with Judge Kavanaugh becoming Justice Kavanaugh is the loss of the high court’s ability to make law and/or modify the written Constitution at will by Justices who believe that the Constitution is “living”.  They know that Justice Kavanaugh will tilt the Court away from the “living” constitution to the written Constitution.  This is important because it will rein in Progressive power, government growth, corruption, and abusive power.

The thought of limits on their power scares them because they will have to answer to the people instead of the Washington swamp clique.  After all, the folks that live in flyover country don’t like the smell and corruption that emanates from the DC swamp.  The destruction of Judge Kavanaugh’s exemplary life and the public outing of Dr. Ford’s misery, solely to protect their power and privilege, has coated Feinstein and the Left in the foul-smelling slime of the swamp they created.

The entire Senate will now have to decide whether the Senate’s collegiality will overcome the crass, low life behavior of some of those on the judiciary committee.  Will the Senate refute the despicable destruction of two innocent people for the sake of power and privilege, or will the Senators kill the presumption of innocence, endorse the end justifies the means, and validate this vile attempt to gain prestige and honors on the dead reputations of those they use and discard?

Sen. Mitch McConnell has set the cloture vote for Friday, and further debate will carry into the weekend before a final vote. All we can do now is sit and wait.
