A Biddeford man will serve as long as a decade in federal prison for possessing hundreds of child sexual abuse images on devices at his home, a judge ruled on Monday.
U.S. District Judge Nancy Torresen in Portland sentenced Jeffrey Gray, 63, to 10 years in prison to be followed by a lifetime of supervised release.
Gray previously pleaded guilty to the possession of child sexual abuse materials in February 2023.
According to court records, federal agents executed a search warrant at Gray’s Biddeford residence in September 2022 on the basis of reports that he had shared child sexual abuse material over a peer-to-peer file sharing network.
Federal investigators seized eight electronic devices during their search, and based on material recovered from several of those devices, executed a second search warrant at Gray’s residence in November 2022, seizing three additional devices.
A forensic examination of Gray’s devices revealed hundreds of images of child sexual abuse.
Gray has a previous conviction in Rockingham, N.H., in 2012 for aggravated felonious sexual assault, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Maine.

Don’t see why the same shouldn’t go to school systems that do the same.
Hats off to the Biddeford PD.
Cut his nuts off! Scumbag!
Why did Eliot Cutler get away with so little time for 84,000 images and at least 4 counts, holding 5-20 year sentences for each? Is it money, bribery of judges? Please investigate!
