The Somerset County Sheriff’s Office arrested three people and seized $40,000 in drugs, including enough fentanyl to supply 185,000 lethal doses, during a raid at a home in Fairfield on Wednesday.

At about 5:45 a.m. on Wednesday, the Somerset County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Division, with assistance from Waterville Police, executed a search warrant at a residence on Crane Drive in Fairfield.

The Sheriff’s Office said the search warrant was obtained following a months-long investigation into suspected drug trafficking at the residence.

During the search of the residence, over 370 grams of Fentanyl and crack cocaine, controlled pills, a large bottle of chloroform, $15,932 in suspected illegal drug proceeds, digital scales, illegal drug related documentation, and illegal drug related paraphernalia were found and seized.

The Sheriff’s Office estimated the total approximate street value of the seized drugs at $40,000.

Four people were found inside of the residence while it was being raided by police, three of whom were arrested.

George Walker, 34, of New York, was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs and violation of conditions of release.

At the time of his arrest, Walker had outstanding warrants for his arrest out of Cumberland County for two counts of aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs, and another warrant out of Franklin County for two counts of unlawful trafficking in scheduled drugs. The bail for each warrant was set at $5,000.

Olguita Colon, 42, also of New York, was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs.

Margaret Visconti, 41, of Fairfield, was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs.

At this time, bail has not yet been set for any of the three suspects, who all are scheduled for their initial court appearances  for August 6, 2025, at 8:30 a.m. at the Somerset County Unified Criminal Court.

Also found at the residence was Julia Maxim, 31, of Burnham, who was issued a summons for unlawful possession of scheduled drugs.

The Sheriff’s Office said that additional charges may be forthcoming after a review of the case by the Somerset County District Attorney’s Office.

According to the Somerset County Sheriff’s Office, over the past month they have seized crack cocaine that is laced with fentanyl.

“Information that has been obtained during recent drug investigations, revealed that drug traffickers are reportedly lacing crack cocaine/cocaine with Fentanyl and not advising the drug customers, to increase the chances that illegal drug users will become dependent on the drugs, thus increasing their illegal drug sales/profits,” the Sheriff’s Office stated.

“Sheriff Lancaster wants to warn potential illegal drug users to be aware of this situation, as the chances of overdosing on these laced drugs is very likely and may prove to be deadly,” they stated.
