Border Patrol agents in Maine arrested nearly a dozen illegal aliens who were found in a vehicle during a traffic stop in late April.

On Wednesday April 23, 2025, Houlton Sector Border Patrol agents encountered a vehicle carrying 12 occupants during a traffic stop, according to a post to Facebook by the Houlton Sector station.

Following questioning and record checks, agents determined that 11 of the passengers lacked legal status to be in the U.S.

The 11 illegal aliens were arrested and charged under 8 USC 1182, which pertains to inadmissibility violations.

According to Border Patrol, the 11 illegal aliens were then transferred to the custody of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to be processed for further removal proceedings.

The post did not include where the vehicle stop occurred, nor what the countries of origin are for the 11 arrested illegal aliens.

The Maine Wire has contacted U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) for additional information on the incident.
