A Lewiston woman is facing a slate of drug charges after being found with over 20 grams of fentanyl during a traffic stop in Auburn on Sunday.
Auburn Police say that at around 6 p.m. on Sunday, officers were called to assist the Maine State Police with a traffic stop on West Auburn Road in Auburn.
According to police, the state trooper who had stopped a vehicle for operating with improper license plates observed that the occupants of the vehicle were attempting to hide items.
A subsequent search led to the discovery of 21.4 grams of fentanyl and about two grams of cocaine base (crack cocaine).

Arrested was Stephanie Lockhart, 38, of Lewiston. She is charged with aggravated trafficking of scheduled drugs (Class A), unlawful possession of fentanyl (Class C), unlawful possession of cocaine base (Class C), refusing to submit to arrest or detention (Class D), falsifying physical evidence (Class D) and violating conditions of release (Class D).

Lockhart was taken to the Androscoggin County Jail where she is being held on $1,500 bail.
The operator of the vehicle, whose identity was not released, was charged by State Police on traffic offenses.
