‘Fact Checkers’ Beware – Might Wanna ‘Double-Check’ Your RIF Clause b/c One of the Big Boys Just Went Down

A longtime liberal D.C. newspaper “fact checker” is on the way out, suggesting that Maine’s newspaper fact police might want to take shelter.

“Washington Post’s controversial fact checker exits paper amid anti-woke reboot…and he isn’t being replaced,” blared Daily Mail.com’s headline.

The Washington Post’s Glenn Kessler, chief writer of “The Fact Checker,” announced on Monday that he’s leaving the paper.

The Daily Mail is positing that Kessler’s ouster may stem from “a slew of recent steps taken by owner Jeff Bezos and CEO Will Lewis to try and help the paper shed its left-wing reputation.”

The Soros-friendly Portland Press Herald just last month marqueed the startup of – yup – a “fact-checking” team to keep us all in line.

But as The Maine Wire has pointed out – on several occasions, mind you – the Maine liberal checkers have missed a passel of slow pitches on their own street, let alone elsewhere.

If you want examples just click each of these last four words!

So facts are hard to come by in the very paper that has gone out of its way to make sure everyone else has their ducks in a row. Or is someone ducking the real facts at Maine’s leading liberal journalistic bastion?
