Police responded on August 8 to reports of a robbery at the Shoe Department Encore store at 40 JFK Plaza at around 7:00 p.m.

The suspect had gone by the time police arrived, but store employees were able to provide a description of the suspect, Kirby Bradford, 58, of Liberty.

About ten minutes after taking statements from store employees, police identified the suspect’s vehicle traveling on Carter Memorial Drive.

Law enforcement conducted a stop, and took Bradford into custody.

Bradford faces charges for robbery and violating conditions of release.

Police refused to specify how much money was stolen from the shoe store.
