Bangor Police Officer Brian Cronk attempted to conduct a routine traffic stop at around 12:28 p.m. in the area of Griffin Road and Broadway.
The vehicle allegedly refused to stop and traveled outbound on Broadway at high speeds.
The driver eventually came to a stop on Outer Broadway and allegedly exited the vehicle, fleeing on foot into the woods.
Officer Cronk followed, chasing the suspect for approximately a mile through the woods until he was apprehended on Pushaw Road with the help of other officers.
The suspect was identified as Corey Paradise, 52, of Bangor.
He was arrested on an outstanding warrant for an unspecified charge, along with additional charges of refusing to stop for a law enforcement officer, driving to endanger, and operating while his license was suspended or revoked.

Paradise has a lengthy criminal history, including arrests for burglary and another incident of fleeing police, when he allegedly jumped out of a moving vehicle in an attempt to evade Somerset Sheriff’s Deputies.
