Maine State Police Troopers arrested a Manchester, New Hampshire man on Sunday after he was allegedly driving drunk the wrong way on the Maine Turnpike in Kennebunk.

At approximately 1:18 a.m., troopers responded to reports that a white 2023 Honda Civic was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes of the Maine Turnpike in Kennebunk.
Another 911 caller later reported that the vehicle had crashed into the median at mile marker 24.
Troopers located the vehicle and the driver, Lester Medina, 22, of Manchester, NH, who was evaluated by Kennebunk Rescue at the scene, though he was not injured in the crash.
During the investigation, troopers noticed that Medina was allegedly intoxicated and took him into custody.
He was transported to the York County Jail, where he faces charges of aggravated reckless conduct, criminal OUI, and driving to endanger.
Two southbound lanes were temporarily closed as law enforcement mounted their investigation.
