Rockland officers executed a search warrant at a residence in the town’s south end following a month-long drug trafficking investigation.

While executing the warrant, police seized approximately 40 grams of crack cocaine and arrested one suspect, Jason “JD” Viorla, 40, of Bangor.

Police believe that Viorla also had ties to New York and North Carolina.

He was charged with felony aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs. The charge was elevated based on a prior felony drug conviction.

Law enforcement expects additional arrests to follow from the investigation.
