Man Shot in Leg Outside Amigos on Dana Street; Portland Police Seek Suspect

PORTLAND, Maine — Portland police are investigating an early-morning shooting outside Amigos Mexican Restaurant & Bar on Dana Street that left a 32-year-old man wounded.

Police said officers responded at 1:03 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 19, 2026, to 9 Dana Street for a report of shots fired. After arriving, officers determined an altercation happened outside the establishment and the 32-year-old male was shot in the leg. He was taken to Maine Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Officers searched the area but did not find a suspect. Witnesses described the suspect as a white male in his 20s, about 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall, with a scruffy beard, wearing jeans and a gray hoodie, police said.
