Employees at the Hampton Inn at 151 Main Street requested that police respond to the location to investigate activity in one of the hotel rooms.

Police responded and knocked on the door of the suspects’ room. Officers heard a window being opened when they knocked on the door and observed a man, identified as Jason Purington, 44, allegedly fleeing into a wooded area.

Officers chased Purington, and he allegedly physically resisted and became aggressive when police caught up. He was nevertheless taken into custody after allegedly assaulting law enforcement.

In the hotel room, police discovered Tyler Page, 38, allegedly hiding inside, and took him into custody.

During the investigation, police learned that two women connected to the incident had allegedly fled the hotel and crossed the road.

They were later apprehended and identified as Tamera Benson, 37, and Brianne Simard, 34, both of whom were subject to outstanding arrest warrants.

Purington was charged with criminal trespass, unsworn falsification, refusing to submit to arrest or detention, assault on a law enforcement officer, unlawful trafficking in scheduled drugs, and trafficking in prison contraband. He was also subject to multiple outstanding arrest warrants.

Page was arrested on multiple outstanding warrants and charged with unsworn falsification and criminal trespass.

Benson was charged with unlawful trafficking in scheduled drugs, unlawful possession of scheduled drugs, and was also subject to outstanding warrants.

Simard was arrested on outstanding warrants.
