The Portland Police Department arrested a South Portland man on Friday after he allegedly failed to appear in court on child pornography charges.

Police arrested Nathan Lee Valentine, 32, on an outstanding arrest warrant for failing to appear.
He was meant to appear for an arraignment on charges of possession of sexually explicit material involving a minor under the age of 12.
Police arrested him in South Portland’s Red Bank area at approximately 11:30 a.m. without incident.
He was transported to the Cumberland County Jail.
