MDEA agents worked with the Scarborough police to arrest Peter White, 48, of Scarborough, following a week-long drug investigation.
Law enforcement began the investigation after receiving information that a man staying at a hotel on Payne Road in Scarborough was dealing drugs from his room.
Officers then allegedly made undercover drug purchases from White at the hotel. He was arrested following one of those purchases, and law enforcement secured a search warrant for his room.
The U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) joined the MDEA and the Scarborough Police Selective Enforcement Team in executing the warrant.
Law enforcement allegedly seized over 3.3 pounds of fentanyl, an ounce of cocaine base, $2,700 in cash, and other evidence of drug trafficking.
The seized drugs have an estimated street value of $60,000.
White was transported to the Cumberland County Jail and issued $75,000 bail, with an initial court appearance set for May 1.
He was on probation following a prior conviction at the time of his arrest, and he was placed on a probation hold.
