Maine’s game wardens are searching for a suspect who allegedly fled twice on an ATV and came close to running over a warden with his vehicle.

On Friday, wardens spotted a man allegedly riding an ATV in Dayton on private property without permission from the owner.

Wardens approached and instructed the man to stop, but he allegedly refused.

Instead, the man reportedly sped off on his ATV, nearly struck a warden, and fled at high speed.

Later on, wardens reportedly located the suspect again at the Dayton Country Store on Route 5/35 and attempted to make contact.

The man allegedly fled a second time, once again speeding away on his ATV.

Wardens were unable to identify the man, but he does appear on store security footage.

The Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife (IFW) posted images of the suspect from security cameras and is asking the public to reach out if they can identify him.

Probably didn’t want to pony up the 75 USD reg fee for the “multi purpose” trail system, gifted by the Feds. Or the multi purpose was closed as it is too wet for atvs and riders. That price of Natty and a bag of All Dressed with the price of gas ……well, up jumped the price of poker kids. So much for cuttin’ cross ole Bill’s hay field. It’s now a solar panel “farm”.
