The Rockland Police Department arrested a homeless man on Monday in connection with a string of four burglaries.

At approximately 1:00 p.m., police responded to an apartment on Main Street following a report of a recent burglary.
Several thousand dollars worth of electronics were reportedly stolen from the residence.
Police mounted an investigation, with patrol officers and detectives working to quickly identify and locate the suspect, George Gilmore, 40, homeless.
Along with the suspect, officers also allegedly located and recovered property stolen from the caller’s apartment along with other clothing and electronics believed to be stolen.
Investigators initially identified at least two other burglary victims on Main Street.
Police found that Gilmore was on probation following a 2018 elevated aggravated assault conviction and arrested him on charges of violation of probation and felony burglary.
Following the initial press release, police allegedly identified a fourth burglary victim and restored the stolen property.
Police expect additional charges to follow as the investigation continues.
