At approximately 10:45 a.m., Rockland responded to reports of a home invasion.
By the time police arrived, the suspect had allegedly fled, but they learned that the suspect and victim were known to each other prior to the incident.
Police believed that the suspect was at the home in an attempt to fight one of the residents.
He allegedly kicked down the door to enter the building. Interestingly, police mentioned that “at least one subject” entered the home, seemingly suggesting that more suspects may have been involved, but they did not elaborate on that.
After meeting with victims, police began a search for the suspect.
He was later found in South Thomaston and arrested with assistance from the Knox County Sheriff’s Department.
The suspect, identified as Cory Brockman, 18, of South Thomaston, was transported to the Knox County Holding Facility and charged with felony burglary, criminal threatening, and criminal mischief.
