Lewiston Police Respond to Overnight Gunfire, Three Charged After Targeted Shooting

LEWISTON, Maine — Lewiston Police responded to reports of multiple gunshots early Tuesday morning, quickly apprehending several individuals and charging three men following what investigators believe was a targeted shooting.

According to police, officers were dispatched to the area of Walnut Street and Pierce Street at approximately 1:45 a.m. on April 22, 2026, after receiving reports of multiple gunshots in the neighborhood.

Officers arrived within seconds and observed a group of young adults fleeing the area. Police quickly apprehended the individuals and began investigating the scene, where officers located numerous shell casings scattered in and around the roadway.

Authorities reported that no individuals were found to be injured as a result of the gunfire. However, officers did locate bullet damage to a nearby building. Investigators believe the shooting was targeted.

As a result of the investigation, police charged three individuals in connection with the incident:

Donaven Harmon, 20, of Harriston, Maine, was charged with:

Violating Condition of Release (Class E) — 15 M.R.S. § 1092(1)(A) Reckless Conduct (Class B) — 17-A M.R.S. § 211(1) Falsifying Physical Evidence (Class D) — 17-A M.R.S. § 455(1)(A) Discharging a Firearm, Bow and Arrow, or Crossbow Near a Dwelling or in a Public Place (Class E) — 12 M.R.S. § 1806(4)(F)

Javis Jellison, 20, of Lewiston, Maine, was charged with:

Reckless Conduct (Class B) — 17-A M.R.S. § 211(1) Falsifying Physical Evidence (Class D) — 17-A M.R.S. § 455(1)(A)

Jordan Senus, 20, of Dayton, Maine, was charged with:

Reckless Conduct (Class B) — 17-A M.R.S. § 211(1) Falsifying Physical Evidence (Class D) — 17-A M.R.S. § 455(1)(A)

The incident remains under investigation. Police are asking anyone with additional information related to the shooting to contact the Lewiston Police Department.
