The son of the female half of Sonny & Cher was given a trial date Tuesday on a slew of New Hampshire criminal charges.
Elijah Allman, 49, will be tried in June for allegedly threatening and assaulting residents at a New Hampshire prep school.
Allman earlier this year was arrested and charged with assault, trespassing, threatening and disorderly conduct in Concord.
He was later released on personal recognizance bail, meaning he didn’t have to pay any bail money and agreed to appear at future court dates People.com reports.
Allman, a 1994 grad of Hyde School in Bath, Maine, is the son of rocker Gregg Allman, one of whose seven wives at one point was Cher.
Though he lives in California and has no known connections to New Hampshire, the younger Allman is familiar with New England for having gone to school in Maine.
“Amid Allman’s legal troubles, Kayti Edwards – the step-granddaughter of Julie Andrews – told The Sun in an April 19 interview that Allman fathered a daughter named Ever, now 15, after they shared a brief romantic encounter,” People reported Tuesday.
“In the same interview, Edwards said that she admitted Allman was the child’s father when Cher reached out to her last summer.
Andrews is known for having played Maria in “The Sound of Music,” a movie about the Von Trapp family who later immigrated to Vermont from Austria.
Cher has an equally compelling narrative of her journey to fame as a musician, pairing with her husband Sonny in the 1970s as a recording duo.
They sang the iconic “Got You Babe” and had on TV “The Sonny & Cher Show.”
