A New Hampshire man is facing charges after investigators determined that a fire that destroyed four vehicles on a wooded lot in Lebanon was intentionally set.

According to officials, the Lebanon Fire Department requested assistance from the State Fire Marshal’s Office at about 2 p.m. on Monday, April 6, 2026, at 158 Upper Barley Road in Lebanon. Fire crews responded to the property and found that four vehicles had been destroyed by fire.

Following an investigation, the State Fire Marshal’s Office determined that the fires were the result of arson and later issued an arrest warrant for 27-year-old Jayce Racicot of Rochester, New Hampshire.

Officials said the property where the vehicles burned is owned by Racicot’s grandfather. Three of the four destroyed vehicles were also owned by his grandfather.

Racicot was arrested Friday, April 10, 2026, by the Rochester Police Department in New Hampshire on the outstanding warrant. He is currently being held at the Strafford County Department of Corrections pending a fugitive from justice hearing.

The State Fire Marshal’s Office said the York County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the investigation.

Insurance scam? Maybe. More likely that there was a dispute between him and the grandfather.
