The Rockport Police Department responded to a bomb threat on Friday made against the MaineHealth Pen Bay Hospital.

In the early morning, police responded to the hospital at 6 Glen Cove Drive after an emergency caller allegedly reported a potential bomb threat.
Hospital officials enacted security protocols and coordinated with law enforcement to assess the situation.
The Rockport EMS and Fire Department, along with the Rockland and Camden Police Departments, responded to assist.
A sweep of the facility revealed no threats, and the hospital has been cleared to resume normal operations.
Security personnel will remain on site as an additional precaution.
The incident remains under investigation, and police have not determined who made the threat.
