A New Hampshire woman was arrested on Sunday after she allegedly slammed head-on into an NH State Police cruiser while driving the wrong way.

At approximately 1:47 a.m., the NH State Police received multiple calls reporting a wrong-way driver on Route 101 in Exeter. Callers reported that the vehicle was traveling east in the westbound lanes.
Troopers responded and encountered a 2019 Nissan Kicks between Exits 8 and 9.
Trooper Shane McClure was traveling west and believed that there were many other innocent drivers placed in danger by the wrong-way driver.
In order to protect those drivers, McClure intentionally placed his cruiser in the path of the wrong-way driver to end the pursuit.
The suspect driver allegedly did not stop and instead slammed into the cruiser.
The driver was identified as Cassandra Aldecor, 21, of Dover, and taken into custody.
She was charged with felony counts of reckless conduct, second-degree assault, and criminal mischief and misdemeanor aggravated driving under the influence and driving under the influence.
A passenger in the vehicle, Zachary Lapierre, 21, of Lebanon, Maine, was arrested and charged with misdemeanor counts of disorderly conduct, contempt, and violating conditions of release.
Both suspects were held in preventive detention.
No one involved in the crash suffered serious injuries.
The incident mirrors a recent wrong-way driver crash in Massachusetts, when Massachusetts State Trooper Kevin Trainor, 30, was tragically killed in the line of duty while attempting to stop a wrong-way driver who slammed into his cruiser.

I donโt understand โ federal law states that the yellow line is the center line of every highway, and the highway has to have a yellow line down the left side.
It looks to me like the trooper was going the wrong way, and she was going the right way, as she had the yellow line to her left โ and he didnโt.
And the reason why federal law requires the centerline be yellow, and all all the lines be white, is so that people can know that theyโre on the correct side of the road. So did New Hampshire screw up its line painting?
Dr Ed,
divided
Highway, right lane fog line white, center lines white, left lane fog line yellow.
Yes, and if you are going the WRONG way, the yellow line is to your right.
It looks like the cop was going the wrong way, as the yellow line is to his right.
WTF???
Dr Ed, if the yellow line in the picture was the center line of the road, it would either be a double yellow, a dashed yellow, or a combination of two, a sold and a dashed yellow line. It was none of the above so it must have been the yellow line at the edge of the highway. You can also see the rumble strip in the photo that marks the highway edge.
Man!, That airbag did a number on her nose……
Perhaps a little practice on minimizing ambiguity in headlines is in order.
Wrong way driver…..police cruiser…..Mainer in car.
Wrong side of the road? How about wrong side of the sentence structure?
Dr. Edโ The crashed cars in the photo are very clearly in the left shoulder of the road. You can see the concrete barrier right next to them (and the opposite lanes on the other side). Hence, the yellow line in the photo is the left edge line.
