Bangor Police Arrest Armed Wanted Felon with Large Quantity of Drugs

The Bangor Police Department arrested a wanted felon on Tuesday after he was allegedly found with a firearm and a large amount of illicit drugs.

At approximately 12:25 p.m., Officer Nathaniel Alvarado was patrolling Essex Street after receiving information about a large quantity of drug activity.

While there, Alvarado allegedly spotted a vehicle and recognized one of its passengers as Christopher Reynolds Jr., 22, of Exeter.

Reynolds was subject to an active arrest warrant, and dispatch records allegedly indicated that he was known to be armed.

Due to the potential presence of a firearm, Alvarado requested backup after confirming that Reynolds was subject to an arrest warrant.

Agents from the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency (MDEA) responded to assist in the arrest.

Police searched Reynolds and his possessions and allegedly located a firearm, a large amount of drugs, drug paraphernalia, and cash. Police did not specify the exact quantity of the illicit drugs reportedly seized.

Reynolds was arrested on his outstanding warrant and additionally charged with aggravated trafficking of scheduled drugs and possession of a firearm by a felon.

Police did not specify the charges related to the warrant.
