The Bangor Police Department arrested two adults and one 17-year-old on Wednesday after they allegedly broke into a man’s apartment and beat him with a baseball bat while searching for their friend’s stolen vehicle.

At approximately 12:00 a.m., Officer Emily Konopka responded to the waterfront area near Railroad Street following a report of a stolen vehicle.

She spoke with the complainant and her three friends, Serina Beaucher, 28, of Bangor; Bradley Dean, 26, of Brewer; and a 17-year-old from Bangor about the stolen vehicle.

Later that morning, at approximately 3:00 a.m., police responded to a residence on Mt. Hope Avenue after a man living there reported that he had been assaulted with a baseball bat.

Police arrived to find that Beaucher, Dean, and the juvenile with whom officers spoke earlier that day had allegedly broken into the victim’s apartment.

They then allegedly assaulted him with a baseball bat while demanding information on their friend’s stolen car.

Bangor officers located the trio and took them into custody.

They were transported to the Penobscot County Jail.

Beaucher faces charges of burglary to a dwelling and aggravated assault.

Dean faces charges of burglary to a dwelling, simple assault, and criminal mischief.

The matter of the stolen car remains under investigation, and the vehicle has not yet been located. It is not clear if the victim of the beating is a suspect in the car theft case.
