An “anti-ICE rioter” was arrested on Monday morning after he allegedly set off fireworks outside the Jacob K. Javits Federal Building in New York City and poured gasoline on its steps before being stopped.

After Patel’s statement, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) provided more details and said that the suspect was motivated by anti-ICE sentiment.

According to the department, the incident took place at approximately 8:20 a.m. when the suspect allegedly set off fireworks that grazed a bystander and ignited gasoline he poured on the stairs to the building’s entrance.

A Federal Protective Service (FPS) officer tackled the suspect and detained him, though the officer sustained minor injuries while subduing the suspect.

Officers also recovered the suspect’s bag, which allegedly contained two pellet guns and a manifesto.

The contents of the manifesto have not been publicly released.

The FBI is currently investigating the situation, but has not released the suspect’s name.

He was identified and his background was detailed by anti ANTIFA journalist Andy Ngo

The suspect of the terror arson attack on the federal immigration court building in Manhattan has been identified as 43-year-old Andrew John Arrabaca, an Army veteran. Officials say he came armed with two axes, a hammer, a machete and three knives.
Arrabaca set off an incendiary device and injured three people, two of them government employees and one civilian (an immigrant attending an immigration status hearing). Arrabaca was carrying anti-ICE literature during the attack, and yelled anti-ICE statements as he was being apprehended.
Arrabaca has long been a leftist climate change activist and has participated in Pro-Palestine causes. Voter registration records show he has previously been registered as a Democrat and also with the Working Families Party. He maintains fetish accounts online where he expresses interest in defecation and bondage adult content creators. He also apparently fantasized about being turned on touching his future daughter in one Instagram post.
