INDIAN ISLAND, Maine — The State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating an arson fire that caused significant damage to a building owned by the Penobscot Nation early Wednesday morning.
The fire was reported shortly after 2 a.m. on July 8 at 4 Wabanaki Way on Indian Island, just outside Old Town.
No injuries were reported.
Investigators with the State Fire Marshal’s Office are working alongside the Penobscot Nation Police Department, Old Town Police Department, and Old Town Fire Department.
The fire has been ruled arson.

I would be willing to bet, it was a non Native that did this. With all the highly dangerous crime rates we have in Maine, even the Reservations are not immune to any of it now.
