National Basketball Association phenom Cooper Flagg’s coveted one-of-one numbered rookie debut patch autograph card has been found.
Members of RhodyBreakers, a division of the Baseball Cards of Rhode Island retail shop that opens boxes of trading cards on a live stream for clients, were on a stream when they pulled the much-sought-after card earlier this week.
The card features a patch worn on the Newport, Maine rookie of the year’s jersey during his NBA regular-season debut.
The patch was then removed and used to create a one-of-one trading card meant to represent the ultimate rookie card for each player who has one.
Flagg’s debut patch card is arguably the most coveted from the program, across all sports, to date, according to The New York Times.
Card experts say it’s worth at least $1 million and possibly several million dollars.
The card, which Flagg signed during Fanatics Fest last month, has drawn significant attention – including from the Dallas Mavericks, who offered a “bounty” in exchange for it, ESPN reports.
The jersey that Flagg wore in the first half of his NBA debut – from which the card’s patch is made – sold for $1 million in February.
A similar exclusive card featuring Pittsburgh Pirates star pitcher Paul Skenes sold for $1.11 million last year, leading to speculation that Flagg’s card could fetch at least as much in an auction.
The owner of Flagg’s card will be hard-pressed to part with it, but the Mavericks recently made their case with an offer that includes two Mavericks premium season tickets for 32 years, a signed, game-worn Flagg rookie jersey plus a postgame photo with the star, a private photo shoot with the Rookie of the Year trophy, an expenses-paid road trip with the team and more, ESPN says.
Flagg’s one-of-one card headlines the first crop of basketball’s rookie debut patch autograph cards, which were released last week as part of the 2026 Topps Chrome Update Basketball set.
The set also features cards from other Class of 2025 players, such as Kon Knueppel and Dylan Harper.
