The York Sheriff’s Department arrested a Waterboro man on Thursday when he was allegedly discovered to be driving without a license after crashing into a utility pole.

Deputies responded to reports of a single-vehicle crash on Roberts Ridge Road in Waterboro.
Sergeant David Chauvette and Deputy Troy Chenard arrived to discover that Raymond Miller, 40, of Waterboro, allegedly struck a utility pole and caused it to snap in half before coming to a stop in nearby bushes.
He was reportedly traveling at high speed and lost control of his 2015 Ford Explorer before the crash.
Witnesses told deputies that Miller’s actions put multiple people in danger.
Investigation revealed that Miller was allegedly operating with a suspended license.
He was arrested and charged with operating as a habitual offender, driving to endanger, and violating conditions of release.
He was transported to the York County Jail, where he is being held without bail.
Roberts Ridge Road remained closed for several hours while utility crews cleaned up downed wires.
Yup he sounds like a candidate to spend oh let’s say 5 or more years in jail. Yup sounds like a good idea.
