The Brunswick Police Department arrested a suspect on Tuesday after a man was found dead at a Brunswick home.

At approximately 12:48 a.m., the Brunswick Police Department responded to a 911 call from 5 Valerie Avenue in Brunswick after the caller reported hearing gunshots.
Officers arrived and found an adult male dead on the property.
Police arrested the resident of the home on unspecified charges related to the incident.
He was transported to the Cumberland County Jail.
Police did not name the suspect.
The Maine Wire reviewed Cumberland County Jail records, but none of the suspects recorded as having been booked into the jail on Tuesday were from Brunswick.
The Maine State Police and the Maine State Fire Marshal’s Office responded to assist with the investigation.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Augusta will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death, and to confirm the victim’s identity.
