President Donald Trump has ordered U.S. troops to use military force against drug cartels, according to The New York Times. The president secretly signed an order targeting cartels that he has labeled as foreign terrorist organizations, The New York Times reported Friday, citing sources familiar with the matter. Pentagon officials are currently forming strategies for the military to confront the Latin American criminal networks responsible for flooding the U.S. with deadly illicit drugs, the outlet’s sources said. “President Trump’s top priority is protecting the homeland, which is why he took the bold step to designate several cartels and gangs as foreign terrorist organizations,” White House spokesperson…

Russian President Vladimir Putin is set to meet with President Donald Trump in the coming days as the end of Trump’s 10-day peace deadline looms, Kremlin aide Yuri Ushakov told reporters Thursday. The meeting was suggested by the Russian side to U.S. special envoy Steve Witkoff on Wednesday, who then relayed the idea to Trump, according to The Wall Street Journal. The Russian and U.S. presidents have not met face-to-face since 2021, when Putin visited former President Joe Biden in Geneva, Switzerland; a time and venue have not yet been publicly announced for the reported Trump-Putin meeting. “At the suggestion of the American side, an…
President Donald Trump revealed on Thursday that he has ordered his administration to create a new census, in which illegal migrants will not be counted. The president — who has made immigration enforcement a top policy priority — ordered the Commerce Department to begin efforts on a new census based on figures that exclude the illegal migrant population and information gleaned from the 2024 presidential election. As the Trump administration wages a war against foreign nationals daring to vote in American elections, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Director Joseph Edlow has spearheaded game-changing policy reforms to root them out. When President Donald Trump returned to office, he quickly signed an executive order to strengthen the citizenship verification process and help keep foreign nationals from participating in American elections. USCIS, the federal agency that administers legal immigration, has since streamlined resources for elected leaders to better identify and remove noncitizens from their state’s voter rolls. Substandard repairs and a slow bureaucracy have caused U.S. Navy ships to sit in repair yards for years without being used, The Wall Street Journal reported Monday. Between one- and two-thirds of U.S. surface ship maintenance has lagged behind schedule in recent years, U.S. officials have said, according to The Wall Street Journal. The delays exacerbate America’s problem of failing to build ships as swiftly as China, a top adversary working to expand its presence in the Indo-Pacific region and threaten U.S. interests. Liberal Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney announced at a press conference on Wednesday that America’s northern neighbor was planning to recognize a Palestinian state in September’s United Nations (UN) General Assembly. The president took to Truth Social on Wednesday night to respond to the Canadian leader’s announcement. “Wow! Canada has just announced that it is backing statehood for Palestine. Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard released documents and a memo July 18 detailing what she called a “years-long coup” against President Donald Trump after he defeated former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential race. Strzok had been a key player in the unfounded allegations that Trump’s 2016 campaign colluded with Russia, including intervening to prevent the FBI from closing a probe into retired Army Lt. Gen. Rising violent extremism linked to leftist and pro-Palestinian suspects in the U.S. flies in the face of legacy media narratives that President Donald Trump’s return to office would embolden right-wing extremists. Law enforcement has grappled with a wave of alleged or confirmed arsons, shootings, threats against government officials and mass rioting stemming from outrage at Trump’s policies or U.S. support for Israel. In the months following Trump’s reelection, media outlets and “experts” quoted in their articles predicted that America might see a resurgence of mostly right-wing or white supremacist violence on his watch. “That analysis never made any sense, but was always the a priori assumption of…

Some recently released data has spelled good news for parts of the American economy thus far in President Donald Trump’s second term. Many economists predicted that Trump’s sweeping tariffs could have various negative impacts on the U.S. economy this year, such as contributing to higher inflation rates. Despite this, some recent economic data has indicated that several areas of the domestic economy are doing well. The University of Michigan’s Consumer Sentiment Index rose to 61.8 in June, marking its highest level in five months. Still, consumer sentiment remains a substantial 16% below December 2024, according to the report. Additionally, the stock market surged to new highs during…

America has a real shot at ending its dangerous reliance on the People’s Republic of China (PRC) for rare earth elements, but only if it is willing to take decisive action, industry experts say. Rare earths are a group of 17 metallic elements integral to the production of vehicles, weapons systems, wind turbines, smartphones, medical devices and other advanced technologies. Despite their commercial and strategic significance, the U.S. imports 80% of the rare earths it consumes, primarily from China, which accounts for the vast majority of the world’s rare earth mining and 92% of refining capacity. “This is not a problem that the U.S.…
