The New Hampshire State Police arrested four people in the state’s capital last Monday, busting a Concord-based drug distribution ring.

The New Hampshire State Police Narcotics Investigations Unit has been investigating a Concord-based methamphetamine and fentanyl sales operation for months.

Local police joined them in taking down the drug ring, arresting two Concord residents, Tracy Blodgett, 60, and Aaron Erickson, 45, for distributing controlled drugs in quantities over five grams and intending to distribute quantities over five ounces.

Both Blodgett and Erickson face fines of up to $500,000 and life imprisonment, as these are not their first drug dealing offenses.

Authorities seized over 400 grams of methamphetamine and approximately 60 grams of fentanyl.

While executing a search warrant during the investigation, police arrested Brian Huoppi, 43, of Concord, and Ryan Basnett, 28, for possession of controlled substances, although they do not believe they intended to sell the drugs.

Police did not specify whether they believed Huoppi or Basnett were simply customers of Erickson and Blodgett, or if they were accomplices.

The New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office is prosecuting the case.
